At Schoolwala, security is the foundation of our product design. We understand that educational institutions trust us with sensitive student profiles, grading rosters, staff payroll values, and fee logs.
We maintain exhaustive technical safeguards, role allocations, and multi-zone backups to secure your institutional database.
Our ERP backend and isolated database nodes run inside Amazon Web Services (AWS) secure VPCs. Network borders are secured using managed firewalls, rate limits, and VPC private network boundaries to block unauthorized traffic.
Schoolwala operates a secure multi-tenant model. Unlike co-mingled data schemas, each institution gets an independent database schema and database username. This absolute boundary prevents accidental cross-leakage of records.
We secure your files and connection ports. All network exchanges run through TLS 1.3 encryption. At rest, databases and assets are fully encrypted using AES-256 with automatically rotated encryption keys.
Backups are executed automatically every 24 hours. Daily snapshots are encrypted and distributed across multiple isolated AWS availability zones, guaranteeing complete data recovery in physical outages.
We support strict role-based access control (RBAC). School admins can explicitly specify login privileges for teachers, clerks, parents, and students. Session logins are tracked in active logs for immediate monitoring.
